2023 – FEDERICO COPPITELLI ( LECCE CALCIO )
Motivation: Manlio Scopigno Award as best coach of the youth sector to Federico Coppitelli because he not only won but he did it by putting on a show with the Lecce Primavera boys. Coppitelli is a collector of championships at youth level, he has won five so far. Wherever he went he brought three things: good play, valorization of the men available and victories. Lecce is only the latest chapter of a career that started long ago, with the very young amateurs of Tor Tre Teste, then an escalation with Rome, Frosinone and Turin.
2023 – ALBERTO AQUILANI ( A.C.F FIORENTINA ) ATTUALMENTE ( PISA CALCIO )
Motivation: Manlio Scopigno Award as best coach of the youth sector to Alberto Aquilani for his collection of cups and for having proved right those who believed he was predestined on the bench. As a player at Roma he was called “the little prince” due to the elegance of his movements and the resemblance to “the prince” Giannini. On the bench he brought the intelligence he had on the pitch and the desire to experiment. On the Fiorentina spring bench he won five cups in three years and launched guys who are now starting in Serie A.
