29 ^ Scopigno Cup: Roma wins the derby 2-1 against Lazio
President Formichetti: “for next year we would like to play also in Rome”.

Emotions and memories on the first day of the 29th Scopigno Cup Amatrice – Rieti World Football Tournament Under 17, memorial Manlio and Loris Scopigno. Before the start of the races, in Amatrice, the two teams of Rome and Lazio wanted to pay tribute together with the President of ASD Scopigno Fabrizio Formichetti to the monument dedicated to the victims of the earthquake at the Minozzi Park.

The match between Rome and Lazio (2-1) saw the kick-off which was given by the Deputy Mayor of Amatrice Massimo Bufacchi and by the regional councilor Sergio Pirozzi.
Martina Niccolai, winner of the talent “STRIX FACTOR” of Striscia la Notizie, sang the Italian anthem before the match.

“Our relationship with Amatrice is historical -comments Formichetti- even before the earthquake we held a round of the Memorial here: every year it is always a great emotion to bring our support and greetings to the town. It is important to follow up on the event and for next year we plan to add the city of Rome to the offices of Rieti and Amatrice with a dedicated group ”.

Roma won the derby in the first match of the first day of the Scopigno Cup. The two teams at the Paride Tilesi stadium gave life to a close confrontation that saw the Giallorossi winners who first recovered and then won the victory in the second half. Lazio dominated more in the first half, while in the second half Roma took courage and finished the comeback.
