The award ceremony of the Manlio Scopigno Award to Stefano Pioli as Best Serie A Coach for the 2021/2022 season took place today at the Milanello Sports Center.
The President of the A.S.D. Scopigno Cup Fabrizio Formichetti
The Prize was awarded to Stefano Pioli with the following motivation:
“As best coach in Serie A to Stefano Pioli not only for the extraordinary victorious championship with Milan but for a career based on loyalty and the utmost respect for the highest sporting values. A career that began long ago with the splendid Allievi team of Bologna, where he won the scudetto, and with happy but also very tough stages like the one in Florence, where his role and his humanity were fundamental in managing the dramatic death of Astori. An award not only for the professional but also for the man”.
Mr. Pioli was excited who thanked President Formichetti and the prestigious jury for the coveted award.
